What happens to the bicycles and motorcycles that we collect?

In Japan, bicycles and motorcycles that are no longer in use are put into 40-foot containers and travel across the ocean for one to one and a half months. After arriving at the destination, they are repaired and maintained, and start moving again in various ways all over the world.

Those that cannot be repaired are recycled as resources. They are used for various purposes, such as commuting to school or work, sometimes for work, sometimes for shopping, and sometimes for fetching water.

Our export destinations include countries around the world, including Ghana, Tanzania, Nigeria, Cambodia, and the Philippines.
In vast African countries, unlike Japan, it takes a long time to get anywhere by walking, so bicycles are highly valued as a necessity of life.

By connecting the bicycles we export from Japan with local demand, we hope to contribute to local employment, the environment, and recycling.
